Role description:
As an associate you will be an integral part of our investment team and be involved in all aspects of our operations. Your involvement ranges from generating deal flow and contributing to the execution of transactions, to supporting our portfolio companies in achieving their growth strategies. Amongst others, this involves the following activities:- Becoming part of several deal teams working together with 1-2 colleagues on live transactions
- Teaming up with several of our portfolio companies to work on strategic topics and performance analysis
- Supporting with deal origination through networking and by analyzing markets and companies
- Financial modelling, valuation, and commercial due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities
- Supporting in due diligence, deal negotiations, and attracting bank financing
- Assisting our portfolio companies with financial reporting, performance analysis and buy-and-build
- Hiring and coaching analysts and interns
Who we are looking for:
- You have strong affinity with technology and tech-enabled businesses
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on mentality
- You combine strong analytical, social and communication skills
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You have 2-4 years of relevant work experience (e.g. M&A, private equity, VC or consultancy)
- You have completed a quantitative university master’s degree (e.g. economics, econometrics, business administration, finance, computer science or other beta degrees)
- You are a team player and enjoy working in a close-knit team
