Role description:
As an investment intern you will be an integral part of our investment team and get involved in all aspects of a transaction process. Your involvement ranges from generating deal flow, performing market research and business analysis, and providing general team support. Amongst others, this involves the following activities:- Becoming part of deal-teams working together with 2-3 Vortex team members on live transactions
- Analysis and explanation of business information and preparation of financial models (balance sheets, P&Ls, cash flow statements and leveraged buyout models)
- Identifying and analysing potentially interesting investment propositions for Vortex
- Preparation of investment proposals and other presentations to be presented internally and externally
- Supporting Vortex portfolio companies with relevant analyses
- Performing quantitative and qualitative market research
- Supporting the team in the day-to-day activities
Who we are looking for:
- You have strong affinity with technology and tech-enabled businesses
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on mentality
- You combine strong analytical, social and communication skills
- You are capable of processing and analysing information effectively and independently
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You have completed one or more relevant previous internships (e.g. M&A, private equity, venture capital or consultancy)
- You have completed a quantitative university bachelor’s degree (e.g. economics, econometrics, business administration, finance, computer science or other beta degrees)
